NTUC First Campus launches first-of-its-kind experiential clubs for its preschoolers and their families

NTUC First Campus (NFC) is excited to launch My First Club and Little Skool Club, experiential platforms designed to provide My First Skool (MFS) and Little Skool-House (LSH) children and their families with enriching and unique learning experiences that bridge classroom education with real-world experiences.

These clubs will extend learning beyond the classroom by showcasing real-world applications of the three vital skills that NFC nurtures in its children: Relational SkillsGlobal Citizenship, and Digital Intelligence. These skills are identified by NFC as essential for lifelong growth and success.

The Clubs, open to K1 and K2 children and their families at pilot centres, will feature interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and visits to companies. All programmes are designed to reinforce NFC’s unique curriculum while fostering family bonding. The Clubs will be introduced to more centres progressively.

Our first event under the Little Skool Club, “Skool of Friends by Barbie” in collaboration with Mattel South Asia, will promote inclusivity and empathy while encouraging children to dream big about their future careers. This is Mattel’s first such partnership with a preschool in Singapore.

The event complements classroom lessons and activities on inclusivity, where teachers share stories on celebrating and respecting differences, and children learn about different cultures, careers and abilities through discussions and show-and-tell.

Other upcoming partnerships include a cooking class by At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy highlighting healthy eating and food sustainability, an interactive workshop with Doctor Anywhere showcasing the transformation of healthcare through technology as well as educational workshops with Little Farms on the topics of fresh produce supply chain and mindful living.

“NTUC First Campus believes it is important to enable our children to discover how the skills we teach in class are reflected in the real world. My First Club and Little Skool Club reflect our innovative learning, and are designed for our children and their parents to explore the three vital skills of Relational Skills, Global Citizenship and Digital Intelligence through fun, experiential learning. We partner with organisations that share our values, collaborating to co-create unique, curated experiences for our children and families. Such partnerships allow us to deliver a first-of-its kind family-school engagement. By actively involving parents, we also aim to foster a deeper family connection to the learning process. We hope our children and families find these enriching,” said Ms Coreen Soh, Chief Child Development Officer of NTUC First Campus, and General Manager of Little Skool-House.

She added, “We are excited to launch the first event with Mattel South Asia, using its popular Barbie toys to teach important values. Skool of Friends by Barbie showcases multi-cultural representation as well as diverse professions, exemplifying the importance of diversity and inclusivity. This event makes learning fun, while bringing important themes to life. Other than the on-site activities for the whole family, the learning is extended through the specially designed reflection cards that encourage meaningful family discussions.”

“We’re happy to be partnering with NTUC First Campus on this meaningful journey. Learning experiences through play is at the heart of what we do and as a company, we aim to empower generations to explore the wonder of childhood and reach their full potential,” Murat Ariksoy, General Manager, Mattel South Asia.
