Two of Little Skool-House’s early childhood professionals have clinched a winner and a finalist award each at the ECDA Awards 2021.
Since joining Little Skool-House in 2012, Nur’Aqilah Binte Abdul Malek, English Teacher at Little Skool-House (On-The-Green), has helped many young children say their first words, develop an interest in learning, and grow into sociable and independent individuals. She has also partnered the children’s parents to help them develop to their fullest potential. For her contributions to the early childhood education sector, Nur’Aqilah was conferred the Outstanding Early Childhood Educarer award.
Having worked as an educarer for almost two decades now, Joanne Lee, English Teacher at Little Skool-House (At-Republic-Polytechnic), never fails to remember every child’s birthday and would celebrate all of their milestones, no matter how small they are. She constantly reminds parents of their child’s strengths, development and personality, especially when parents seem overwhelmed with work and would overlook little things about their child. Joanne was a finalist for the Outstanding Early Childhood Educarer award.
The ECDA Awards for Excellence in Early Childhood Development recognises the exemplary achievements and accomplishments of educarers, teachers, early intervention professionals, leaders and centres that have excelled in their teaching and learning, and innovative practices in the early childhood sector.
